There is a place for you in the Idlewild Tech Ministry.
No Matter how old or young we have just the role for you to PLUG IN.
It's always an Exciting time at Idlewild, and as for the Tech Ministry
we are growing by leaps and bounds. With the new facility in full-swing
we are expanding our technical horizons almost daily. With nearly 10
medium to large venues to support there is almost always a service
opportunity available.
Audio
- Live Worship Support - With simultaneous events happening across the entire building on a Sunday or Wednesday there is a place for anyone with an ear for quality, and a heart for ministry. If you think you've got the "Golden Ear" let us know, and we would love to get you Plugged In.
- Podcasting - One of our newest advances in the Tech Ministry, we now offer sermon audio from the main worship center as well as our student pastors. Through our Podcasting service listeners may listen online, download, or subscribe to the podcast service allowing people to take the message with them. Managing 4 different podcasts is a job in and of itself, but the process is relatively simple.
- Audio Editing - From archiving old sermons, to preparing sermons for podcasting there is always plenty of editing to be done.

Video
- Camera Operators - We are experiencing a shortage of qualified camera operators for the main Worship Services. If you think you have an eye for good video, please let us give you an opportunity to show your stuff. Training is provided and we would only ask that you commit to two services each month.
- Graphics Operators - If standing is not for you, but you would still like to be involved with Worship Support there are 3 Graphics Operator positions during each service. We use Power Point to support Pastor's notes. We use Easy Worship software to support Song and Scripture. We also have a broadcast level Character Generator we use for more advanced graphics. From entry level to professional we would love to have you.
- Feature Producers - For anyone with prior TV experience opportunities abound to take on a small part of the big picture. Let us know if you would be interested in an occasional producing assignment.
- Worshipcasting - Broadcasting every service to viewers around the world requires attention as well. Little training is necessary to help us broadcast our worship services worldwide. From former members who have relocated, to family members watching a loved one's baptism this area of our ministry is growing rapidly, and we would love to have you on board.
- Video Editors - If you are an experienced video editor or are willing to learn we would love to hear from you. We currently employ the use of 3 Avid video editors.
- On-Air Talent - If you have experience in front of the camera, or would like to give it a try, let us know. We would love to give you a shot at hosting one of our smaller video projects.

Stage Management
- Stage Managers - Responible for the platform before,
during, and after the service, the stage manager has a key role.During
services the stage manager is the key link in communication from the
platform to the tech team. Before and after each service the stage
manager manages the set-up of the platform for the service and the
strike at the end.
- Stage Hands - Assist in the set up of the stage,
placing mics on speakers or singers, and also perform lesser stage
management roles during teh service.
- Choir Prompters - The choir has a lot of words to
remember and the choir prompter helps to keep them on track. the choir
prompter sits on stage during the worship service at a work station in
the orchestra. For all you techno-musicians out there, this is the role
for you.
Production Lighting
- Operators - Each service requires an operator. Sunday
morning operators work both services, but rotate Sundays on and off. If
you have lighting experience and would be interested, let us know.
- Grips - Learning to hang, focus, and relamp lights is
the entry level for production lighting. If you don't have any prior
lighting experience but are interested in learning, this is where you
would begin.

Duplication and Distribution (DDS)
- Archiving - We are currently in the process of building an archive of all Idlewild recordings to date. We are also in the process of transferring all of our analog recordings to a longer lasting digital medium. Either one of these tasks can be done at your leisure.
- Mastering - In order to provide all of the content available immediately following each service, someone must master the sermons live. This requires a bit of technical skill which would be taught by our DDS staff.
- Customer Service - CSR's man the service counters before and after each service selling Tapes, CDs, and DVD's of the services. Very little training is necessary and time commitments are flexible.
